Christmas at First UMC
Christmas time is here! We are so excited to celebrate the good news of Jesus’s birth with the community. Our sanctuary is decorated, our choirs have rehearsed, and we are ready welcome you with joy and gladness.
Come join us for our annual Christmas Joy Concert and our Christmas Eve Worship Services—we have two, one geared towards families with young children and our traditional evening service.
All events and services are free to attend. We hope to see you all there!
Christmas Joy Concert (Dec. 20, 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.): It’s time for music! On December 20 at 4:00 p.m., the First UMC choirs and instrumental ensembles will team up for this annual celebration of seasonal music. Carols old and new will be performed by the Chancel Choir, handbells, pipe organ, piano ensembles and more. Enjoy a few “Sing-Alongs” for the whole audience!
Christmas Eve Family Service
(Dec. 24, 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.):
On Christmas Eve we will have a special worship service for children and families. Come celebrate the birth of Christ with us!
Christmas Candlelight Service (Dec. 24, 10:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.): Join us for our traditional Christmas Eve Service at First UMC! This moving candlelight service includes magnificent music offered by the Chancel Choir and orchestra, a brief meditation, and the celebration of Holy Communion.
