Memorials at First UMC
We offer compassionate support as you plan your loved one’s memorial service.
The loss of a loved one is a difficult time for friends and family. We hope to make that time a bit easier by helping you plan a memorial service at First UMC.
Scheduling and Fees
We would be happy to show you the Chapel and Sanctuary any time Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Please phone the church office to let us know you are coming.
To schedule your memorial service, please contact the church at (626) 796-0157 to speak to our Facilities Manager or fill out the Memorial Request Form.
For Church Members, there are no rental fees for memorial services held at First UMC, but we would always welcome a donation to our General Church Fund or your favorite FUMC Fund.
For non-church members, the rental fee is a minimum donation of $1,800.00.

It is suggested that an honorarium of $350.00 be paid to the pastor officiating a memorial service. You may also ask the pastor if they would prefer a gift may be made to a favorite organization or fund in their honor.

If you would like our organist to play at the Memorial Service of your loved one, we would be happy to arrange that. A minimum payment of $250.00 is required for his/her services. When certain difficult pieces are requested, the organist may require an extra fee of $50.00

Depending on availability, it may be possible to have a soloist perform at a Memorial Service for your loved one. A payment of $150.00 is required for his/her services.

In order for your Memorial Service to look and sound perfect, a sound technician can be hired. A payment of $250.00 is required for his/her services. Livestreaming is available for $800.00

If you are interested in holding your reception at First UMC, please contact our Facilities Manager for more information and a fee schedule. In compliance with the Book of Discipline of The United Methodist Church, the consumption of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited on the church grounds at all times. First UMC is a smoke-free facility.

Ample parking is available in the church parking lot on the southwest side of the building, accessible from Green or Los Robles next to the church. Additional parking can be made available to accommodate your guest’s needs.

We would appreciate it if payments for any of the listed services be paid no later than 1 week prior to the Memorial Service. Please make checks payable to FUMC Pasadena.
